In the heart of Svågertorp, Malmö, Mirchi was created with a simple idea – to bring authentic South Indian flavors to people who truly appreciate real Indian food. Mirchi is not just a restaurant, it is an extension of our passion for Indian cooking, hospitality, and the joy of serving food that feels like home.
South Indian cuisine is very different from what many people usually think of as Indian food. It is lighter, flavorful, and deeply rooted in traditional recipes that have been passed down through generations. At Mirchi, we focus on dishes like dosa, idli, vada, and flavorful rice and curry dishes that are prepared fresh every day. Our sambar is slow cooked with spices and lentils, our chutneys are made fresh, and our dosas are served hot and crispy, just like they are served in South India.
But Mirchi is not only about South Indian food. We also bring some of the most loved Indian classics to our kitchen, including biryani, curries, and freshly baked naan. This combination allows our guests to explore both South Indian and North Indian flavors in one place. Whether someone wants a quick lunch, a relaxed dinner, or food for a group gathering, we try to create a menu that offers something for everyone.
What makes Mirchi special for us is not only the food, but the experience. We believe that a restaurant should feel warm and welcoming. Good food is important, but so is the way it is served and the way guests feel when they visit. Our goal is simple – when people leave Mirchi, they should leave happy, satisfied, and looking forward to coming back.
We are proud to be part of the Malmö food scene and especially happy to serve our guests in Svågertorp, a place where people from many cultures meet. Food has a special way of bringing people together, and through Mirchi, we hope to share a small part of Indian food culture with Malmö.
So whether you are trying dosa for the first time, craving a comforting biryani, or just looking for a good lunch, Mirchi is here to welcome you.
Welcome to Mirchi – for South Indian food and a lot more.
